Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Maintenance Manager to lead their maintenance team in ensuring optimal performance of equipment, facilities, and infrastructure. This role requires a proactive leader who can drive operational excellence, manage budgets, and prioritize safety and efficiency. The Maintenance Manager will play a critical role in maintaining operational continuity and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Maintenance Manager Responsibilities: - Recruit, supervise, and develop a high-performing maintenance team
- Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay abreast of technical advancements
- Foster a collaborative, safety-first culture that emphasizes accountability and excellence
- Oversee all maintenance activities, ensuring equipment, building systems, and grounds are operational and well-maintained
- Support technicians in diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical issues to minimize downtime
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to improve reliability and efficiency
- Manage department budgets, including costs related to repairs, parts, labor, and outsourced services
- Optimize resource allocation while adhering to financial goals and objectives
- Analyze equipment breakdowns and other inefficiencies to identify root causes and implement solutions
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives to reduce operational losses and enhance performance
- Ensure strict compliance with all OSHA regulations and company safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout and other safety programs
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and training to uphold a safe work environment
- Actively participate in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs to promote workplace safety
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production goals
- Handle other duties as assigned to support the needs of the organization
Maintenance Manager Requirements: - Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience and 4+ years in a supervisory role
- Alternatively, a High School Diploma or Technical School Certificate with 8+ years of maintenance experience and 5+ years in management
- Proven experience leading maintenance teams in a fast-paced environment, ideally within a Fortune 500 or similar organization
- Strong expertise in maintenance management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, prioritize tasks, and drive continuous improvement
- Familiarity with safety regulations (OSHA, EHS) and compliance requirements
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills
